Breaking the Psychological Barrier In my years of working with clients from various backgrounds searching to achieve their respective goals, I have come to understand the difficulty individuals experience in the attempt to transition themselves into a healthier Self. Some have made an attempt several times with limited success while others struggle to initiate any attempt toward better health and life longevity. The commonality between these complex yet very real issues is the self imposed psychological barrier. Setting ones Self up for failure, even though an unconscious action, sabotages the attempt made and reinforces the already present negativity around the difficulty of changing ones lifestyle. To understand the complexity of our psyches as it relates to proposing change in ones lifestyle with the addition of healthy habits and the reduction of unhealthy habits is, as I have come to experience, imperative to long term success. |
